Euphoria by Ministry of Sound

Weeks ago, KV invited me to go clubbing with her coursemates. Since I never tried clubbing in KL, I gave it a try. All of them decided to club at Euphoria-MOS, Sunway Lagoon Resort. All of us reached there quite early around 9pm to take advantage of the cheap cover charge. RM10 for the guys and free of charge for the ladies! 8)

Party-ed until around 2.30am and decided to call it a day. It was fun but the worst thing was that I had to wake up early for work the next day. Arghhh!

Moments in Malacca - Part 2

Alright, let me continue on with the Malacca trip. We took our own sweet time walking around and checking stuff out. Some museums charge you a nominal fee for admission while others don’t. As locals, we were given discounted tickets. One of my favourite shots for the day is the photo below. Damn nice, can?

After having enough of those historical stuff, we took an evening stroll along the Malacca River. There is a Malacca River cruise service for those who are interested. Even though we didn’t try the cruise, I overheard few interesting facts about the Malacca River and the buildings along it. You can also witness a lot of cats roaming around and the cats have short tails.

Before heading back to KL, we took a quick walk at Jonker Walk. It is comparable to Petaling Street in KL. There are a lot of pre-war houses along Jonker Walk and some dating back to the 17th century.

We decided to eat before heading back to the city. Dropped by one of the shopped and ordered two bowls of Laksa. It was kinda tasteless.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves a lot and this trip was really awesome and worthed every penny. I’m looking forward to another trip elsewhere. Any idea where to visit? If you have one, shoot it here. :D

Moments in Malacca - Part 1

Me and KV got up about 10am and got ourselves ready for the journey to the historical city of Malacca. We were quite excited about this one day trip. :P Before heading off, we had breakfast at a nearby Old Town restaurant. Reached there around 1.30pm and parked our car near to the Malacca River.

We started our journey by visiting the Christ Church which was built by the Dutch. We did go in but it was under renovation as we could see workers painting the church’s ceiling and repairing parts of the church.

The next stop was the Ruins of St. Paul Church. The church’s roof was removed due to a certain reason according to a nearby tourist guide. The statue standing in front of the church is none other than the famous Christian missionary, St. Francis Xavier. He was actually buried there for about a month before his incorruptable body was taken to Goa, India. If you look carefully at the statue, you will see that there is no right forearm. After his death, his right forearm which was used to baptize and bless his coverts, was removed.

I spotted two Sony Alpha users there. The photo below was taken by one of them. Of course there are tons of Canon & Nikon DSLR users there as well.

Down the hill, stands the famous A Famosa fortress. We went past the fort and headed to shopping mall nearby as there is nothing much to see at the-almost-totally-demolished fort. After having enough of rest, we headed to the Stadhuys, which was the Dutch’s administrative building back in those days. The whole building is now being used as a museum to showcase traditional costumes and artifacts throughout the history of Malacca. We did a few crazy things inside. Pose lah, jump lah and a lot more.

Part 2 will be up very soon. By the way, there are still two pending posts to be done. Anyway, let me finish the Malacca trip first, ok?

Up the hill

During one of the weekend few weeks back, I suddenly thought of going up to Genting to enjoy the cool weather. And so I ‘pujuk’ my little darling to come along with me. It took me quite some time to manage to ‘pujuk’ her since she was feeling kinda lazy at that time. Phew! And so we drove up to the cable car station to take the cable car up instead of waiting for the bus. But halfway up, the temperature of the car suddenly shot up. It was so scary. We quickly pulled over at the side of the road to let the engine cool off before we continued driving. And a car actually stopped and asked if we needed help. Its nice to know that good people still exist in this evil world.

At one of the stall, we saw that they were selling cotton candy. It’s been a while since I had one and so was KV. So, KV bought one. Yum yum! KV looked like a little girl holding the cotton candy. Haha!

After that, we went outdoors to enjoy the cool breeze and mist and of course, camwhore.

Before heading back, we just sat outside near the Skyway cable car station to enjoy the extremely cold wind. It was getting dark and the mist was getting thicker. It was truly a beautiful sight.
